As a volunteer-led 501c3 nonprofit organization, we work very hard at fundraising so that we can offer financial assistance to all girls demonstrating need.
In 2017, 50% of girls attending our camp received partial or full scholarships from our fundraising efforts, and in 2018 we were able to increase this to 75% (while also doubling our enrollment).
Making sure Trust Tree mains an accessible resource for girls from diverse backgrounds is essential to the vision of our camp. We are so grateful for the generous donations from our supporters which are allowing us to help more girls explore their creativity this summer!

Summer 2018 Scholarships:
The Minnie Scholarship
In memory of a very special little French Bulldog, three full scholarships to our June Songwriting & Recording Camp have been VERY generously donated by Minnie’s Dad.
As a product of a puppy mill, Minnie entered the world with a host of physical challenges and was surrendered to a rescue organization. She was then adopted by her Forever Dad who provided her with the resources and love she needed to thrive.
In honor of Minnie, we request that the recipients of these scholarships perform an act of kindness for animals in their neighborhoods or at a local animal shelter.
Lisa Stearns Memorial Scholarship
The family of Lisa Stearns has generously donated this scholarship to our Songwriting & Recording camp in loving memory of Lisa.
Lisa was an inspiring woman who not only served in the military, but also played drums and guitar in the army band.
We request that the recipient of this scholarship honor Aunt Lisa’s legacy by performing an act of kindness for a veteran in her community.
This donation was made possible by the Arkansas Music and Arts Foundation.
Tim Werner Memorial Scholarship
The family of Timothy Werner has generously donated this scholarship to our July Songwriting camp in loving memory of Tim.
Timothy Werner was an air force communications specialist, lifelong bassist, and arts advocate who loved his dogs and family.
The recipient of this scholarship is asked to perform an act of support towards the arts, local musicians, a veteran, or an animal in her community to honor Tim's memory.
ACANSA is a visual and performing arts festival dedicated to building a more dynamic and engaging community through the arts and enriching the cultural vitality of the region.
We are so grateful to ACANSA for their generous donation of a full scholarship to our June 2018 Songwriting and Recording Camp!
Francie Flynn Scholarships
Francie Flynn, longtime supporter of the arts, and mom of our Director, Correne Spero, has very generously donated scholarship funds to both our June and July programs!
Francie has been a tremendous support to Correne in her journey as a songwriter and musician and has donated these scholarships in the hope that they will allow several budding songwriters the opportunity to further develop their creative visions.
Trust Tree Scholarships
Trust Tree is thrilled to award several partial scholarships this summer as a result of funds raised through benefit shows and online fundraising campaigns.
We are so grateful to the friends of our camp who have donated their hard-earned money to help empower girls through art as well the musicians who have organized and participated in fundraising events!
